It's been a while since I posted but I wanted to say that I successfully replaced my TN screen with the IPS I bought. One thing though, there's a bit of light bleeding on 2 spots on the outter part of the screen, I think it comes from the fact that the duct tape which was used to maintain the original screen to the bezel came out when removing it instead to sticking to the bezel, so there are gaps in between the new screen and the bezel on the lower part of the screen. I'm too lazy to fix it right now but maybe I'll fix it later.

Anyway thanks for the tips.

Oh, but it is a 40-pin eDP panel. Help me remember - does the FX502VM has a 40-pin connector?
